Club History

The club has been established over 30 years ago and is based at the modern Alive Lynnsport Complex in the centre of King’s Lynn. The complex comprises of:

  • - 6 lane all weather track
  • - Facilities for all throwing and jumping events
  • - 6 lane 60m indoor training barn

We are a Clubmark accredited club providing training and competition for all ages and abilities from 8 to to Veteran Athletes in:

  • - Sportshall
  • - Track & Field
  • - Road Running
  • - Cross Country

We strive to encourage athletes to achieve their own personal goals and objectives, all within a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Interested in joining us? Juniors please contact us for an Introduction. All non Juniors either come along to one of our training sessions and introduce yourself to one of our coaches, or contact us for further information.

We offer two free training sessions, only after that membership and training fees apply. If you like it, download this application form, fill it in and bring it along on training night.

Age classes - how does it work?

The Track&Field season starts 1st October and runs until 30th September the following year with the age as of 31st August in the competition year being the criteria for sorting into competition age groups. It is school year related, with the rules in place since the 19th century.

School years 4/5 -> U11

School years 6/7 -> U13

School years 8/9 -> U15

School years 10/11 -> U17

Age group U20 is set by calendar year

Note that Cross country and Sportshall still follow on from the previous season.
